Purchase Ledger Team Leader | Permanent | Belfast

Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a successful client in the outskirts of Belfast city centre who are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Team Leader to join their finance team.

This is a permanent opportunity, office based and the hours of work 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Reporting to the Assistant Accountant, the Purchase Ledger Team Leader will have a strong background in the finance function as well as success in delivering and implementing value-added improvement projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

Oversee the purchase ledger function, ensuring the processing of supplier invoices, payment runs and appropriate reconciliations

Coordinate, guide and train the Purchase Ledger team

Manage key supplier accounts and ensure timely processing of supplier payment

Liaise with internal departments and suppliers to resolve queries and discrepancies

Assist with cash flow forecasting

Investigation of costs that fall outside of acceptable parameters

Working with the finance team on producing current KPIs reports

Continuously review opportunities for internal control enhancement within administrative processes

Lead and manage, value added, process improvement projects within the Finance department

Collaborate with other functions to identify and deliver process improvement initiatives

Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and project when needed

The Person:

5+ years of experience in an office administration environment, preferably within Purchase Ledger

3 – 5 Years people management experience

Possess strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to prioritise with strong attention to detail, organising and planning skills

Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders

Sound knowledge of financial principles

Possess 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English · Proficiency in Excel · Experience with ERP systems and financial software
