IT Support Engineer – Bangor - Permanent – c£35,000 per annum

As a IT Support Engineer you will be responsible for installing/configuring systems for new and existing customers. You will provide technical support for these products and work with other technical team members and field engineers to resolve technical issues.
Key Responsibilities,
- Acting as first contact within the company for first level support regarding incidents and problem management (hardware & software)
- Be the problem owner until the solution for the problem is implemented at customers site and accepted
- Fast and reliable troubleshooting as well as providing workarounds where necessary
- Ensuring a high level of support through all available tools and participation in On-call service
Essential Criteria
- 3rd level IT Technical education
- Minimum 3 years in similar technical support role
- Knowledge of IT architectures (Client/Server-Systems)
- Broad experience with Operating Systems (Windows, Linux)
- Basic Knowledge with MS Active Directory
- Knowledge in Databases (MS SQL) & SQL
- Knowledge in computer networks (Ethernet, TCP/IP, firewalling)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare, Hyper-V)
- Basic Knowledge of software architecture
- Knowledge of Web Services and Payment Service Providers
Remuneration Package
- Starting Salary £30-35k per annum
