Digital Services Technician – Belfast – 12 month contract - £13.71 per hour

REED Technology are delighted too partner with an excellent medical organisation who require a digital services technician  to join their team on a 12 month contract initially.

 Responsibilities

  • Print and finish in-house printed materials, including discussing user needs to clarify requirements and advising on appropriate options to meet user requirements.  
  • Create text documents and graphics for in house reproduction using a range of software applications including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, etc.
  • Ensure that multi-functional devices (printer/photocopiers) are operational and stocked with ink/paper/toner as required.
  • Maintain supplies and ensure that they are replenished in a timely fashion.
  • To extract information from weekly till roll and preparing bulk copying figures for internal billing purposes and to prepare a lodgement sheet for the finance department.
  • Ensure that the department runs effectively on a day-to-day basis
  • Process orders for the Company publications including packaging, dispatch and invoicing.
  • Advise on selection of and demonstrate use of equipment such as laptops, digital cameras, camera accessories, mics and Dictaphones to users availing of the lending service for such equipment, and use of workshop equipment to those printing, binding and/or copying material.
  • Provide demonstrations and training sessions to staff and clients on use of digital cameras and other equipment. .
  • Receive, log and escalate service requests as a point of contact for the IT helpdesk facility.
  • To assist the Digital and IT Services Team with user and equipment support including MFDs, AV equipment and client PCs as required

Essential Criteria/Experience

  • GCSE English or Maths Grade C or above or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrate good IT skills particularly in the standard Microsoft packages including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Publisher
  • At least 6 months printing experience using MFD’s (multifunctional devices) including different outputs (booklets, duplex printing, saddle stitching)
  • At least 6 months scanning experience using MFD’S (multi-functional devices)
  • Good organizational skills
