The Role:
As a Town Planner, you'll play a key role in managing a diverse caseload of planning projects, supporting senior colleagues, and engaging directly with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders. Responsibilities include:
Preparing, managing, and submitting planning applications and appeals
Conducting site appraisals and preparing planning statements and reports
Providing well informed planning advice to clients and colleagues
Contributing to local plan representations and development plan submissions
Assisting in the coordination of multi-disciplinary project teams
Developing strong relationships with clients and external partners
About You:
A degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI-accredited)
1-3 years' experience in a planning role, ideally within consultancy or private sector
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent understanding of the planning process and relevant legislation
Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
A proactive attitude and ambition to progress your career in planning
