Join Our Team as a Verification Officer - Belfast City Centre!

Are you organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering excellent public service? The Business Services Organisation (BSO) is seeking Verification Officers to support patient entitlement checks in the heart of Belfast.

Role Summary
In this vital position, you will play an important part in ensuring patients receive the correct entitlements by managing every stage of the verification process.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full entitlement verification process, including:
    • Issuing initial query letters to patients
    • Recording all correspondence and documentation on the case management system
    • Opening and processing incoming mail
    • Assessing entitlement based on received information
    • Sending reminder, entitled, and not entitled letters as appropriate
    • Updating the BSO patient registration system with entitlement information
  • Verify the accuracy of all outputs from the case management system, including patient letters
  • Respond to patient queries in person or by phone
  • Participate in daily post-handling procedures in accordance with policies
  • Liaise with other government agencies to undertake independent verification
