Maintenance Supervisor - Belfast

Maintenance Supervisor opportunity with our client in the food sector, overseeing the daily running of maintenance and engineering across the site.

Excellent opportunity for a Lead Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor to play a key role in managing a small team, ensuring performance and minimal downtime of machinery and equipment.

Monday to Friday 7am - 3.30pm and on call with extra earnings, employer pension, health plan , 28 days annual leave





Job Role:

  • Leading, managing, and motivating a team of engineers
  • Overseeing performance management, staff development, and succession planning.
  • Driving continuous improvement through the implementation of monitoring and control systems for plant and machinery.
  • Developing and managing a structured preventative maintenance system, scheduling and executing preventative maintenance
  • Organise critical spare parts and stock
  • Coordinating day-to-day maintenance and facility repairs
  • Managing a complete list of site assets and equipment
  • Ensuring compliance with BRC and customer food quality standards
  • Maintaining equipment to safe standards and ensuring legal compliance.
  • Supporting the development of departmental goals and action plans to meet business targets.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar supervisory or senior maintenance role
  • Engineering qualification or a time-served apprenticeship
  • Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide and support shift engineers
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing preventative maintenance and TPM systems
  • Experience enhancing health and safety standards and promoting best practices
  • Excellent knowledge mechanical and electrical engineering
