Your new company & role:

An established Building contractor who, due to a period of sustained growth, have a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. This could be a qualified Quantity Surveyor with a few years post-graduate experience, or an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor keen to progress.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding business who can offer real career progression opportunities and have a demonstrable track record of promoting from within.

Working with the established team of experienced Quantity Surveyors, the successful candidate could be expected to fulfil the following duties:

Assisting on Sub-Contract agreements maximising profit

Attending, contributing to, and minuting Internal Team Meetings

Keeping master files of correspondence on contract

Preparing Interim Valuations with Senior Surveyor and agreeing amounts for payment.

Informing Sub-Contractors of Contract variations

Valuing variations

Pricing

Reporting to Senior Surveyor on job performance via cost/value comparisons

Preparing Surveying Reports

The successful candidate will possess:

BSc Quantity Surveying

Relevant industry experience

Good analytical & problem-solving skills

A methodical approach

Excellent numeracy skills

Ability to work on own initiative.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in relevant computer programmes (Microsoft Word, Excel etc.)
