Finance Assistant – 1 Year FTC - Office Based

Join a leading independent IT provider who are seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to support their dynamic Finance Team. This role is crucial for maintaining commitment to innovation and excellence, ensuring seamless operations and advanced solutions for clients.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage the daily operations of the purchase ledger, including control of the accounts payable email inbox
  • Handle high volumes of invoice and expense processing efficiently
  • Conduct daily cash postings to cash book, sales, and purchase ledgers
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Assist with monthly balance sheets.
  • VAT submissions
  • Ad hoc duties as required

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a methodical worker with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Sage 200 would be advantageous
  • Good communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with all levels of the organisation
  • A confident and proactive approach, able to initiate and manage tasks independently
