- We are recruiting Learning Support Workers for a reputable school and sixth form in Derbyshire, with temporary positions leading to permanent opportunities for suitable candidates.
- This is a term-time role requiring support for students aged 5 to 20, fostering a safe and caring learning environment.
- Candidates should have a deep desire to educate young people with special educational needs, anxieties, and phobias, along with good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Previous classroom or support experience is preferred, along with GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above, and an NVQ Level III in Teaching Assistance is desirable but not essential.
- The position requires a full driving license and access to transport, with a salary of £20,000 to £25,000 per year and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
The is a term time post only and we are looking to register candidates that can provide support to students, teachers, curriculum and the school on a daily basis. And be part of a education setting that creates a happy, safe and caring environment for students to learn and communicate with confidence.
The schools students are aged between 5 and 20 and they are passionate about transforming the lives of young people with special education needs, anxieties and phobias.

Understanding of SEND children and meeting their individual needs.
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Previous classroom / support experience
GCSE English & Maths at C and above
NVQ Level III (Teaching Assistant) - desirable but not essential
