We’re hiring for a 2D CAD Technician to join a growing team at a leading steel processing business based in Blackburn.
Working with a variety of CAD/CAM software, you’ll play a vital role in converting customer drawings into high-quality CNC programs for manufacturing.
What’s on offer?
- £30,000 - £32,000 per year
- Monday – Friday (rotating shifts: 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm)
- Early finish on Fridays
- Overtime available (paid at enhanced rate)
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays

What will you be doing as a 2D CAD Technician?
- Creating accurate 2D CNC CAD programmes using CAD/CAM software
- Maintaining and updating the stock management system
- Liaising with the sales team to resolve customer CAD/drawing queries
- Carrying out general office admin and assisting with internal documentation
What do you need?
- Previous experience in a similar 2D CAD Technician or CAD/CAM programming role
- A relevant engineering qualification (desirable)
- Experience using 3D CAD software (desirable)
- Familiarity with steel processing or manufacturing environments (desirable)
