Based in Blackburn, our client is a leading source of high-quality Automation, Machinery Safety and Motion Control products.
Main Responsibilities:
- To follow mechanical layout drawings to manufacture control panel back plates and enclosures.
- Cutting, drilling and mounting trucking, din rail and surface mount components onto a panel back plate.
- Selecting and mounting the correct electrical equipment for the panel.
- Carrying out mechanical work on panel enclosures for pushbuttons or screens.
Candidate must have:
- Previous experience in the manufacturing of control panels
- Apprenticeship or time served experience in mechanical engineering or electrical fitting.
- Be component and skilled with a range of hand/power tools such as, drills, jigsaws and grinders.
- Be familiar with the mechanical assembly of electrical components and busbar systems.
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques and panel assembly.
Salary: £13.90 per hour
Hours: Monday -Thursday 7.30am-4pm, Friday 7.30am-1.00pm (37.5 hours per week)
