Our client, a leading provider in the aerospace MRO sector, is currently seeking a Certifying B1 Licensed Engineer/Team Lead to join their MRO facility in Hampshire on a permanent basis.

The B1 Licensed Engineer/Team Lead will support the Management Team by ensuring maintenance activities meet required standards in accordance with company procedures, regulatory airworthiness, design, and quality requirements. This role involves meeting the agreed company/customer requirements and programme plans.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of up to 6 Technicians and 2 Apprentices
  • Certify modification and maintenance work within company authorisation
  • Carry out aircraft maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical systems and structures according to approved data
  • Embodiment of aircraft mechanical modifications in accordance with approved data
  • Fault finding of defects and rectifying them as per the Aircraft Maintenance Manual and other approved data


Job Requirements:

  • CAA Part-66 B1 Maintenance License
  • CAA Part-147 BN2T or BN2B type course (desirable, but not essential) - Relevant type course training will be provided
  • Aircraft engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Experience working in a similar role on light utility, unpressurised aircraft
  • Fault identification, isolation, and rectification capabilities
  • Base Maintenance experience, preferably with modification or structural repair experience
  • Experience working on light turbo-prop fixed-wing aircraft
