We are seeking 4-5 experienced Sheet Metal Workers to join a team on the Isle of Wight for an outside IR35 contract. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in sheet metal work and fitting within the aviation industry, particularly with experience in CAA Part 21G regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair sheet metal parts and components for aircraft.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
  • Use hand and power tools to shape and manipulate sheet metal materials.
  • Inspect and identify structural damage, wear, and corrosion in aircraft.
  • Perform precision measurements and calculations to ensure accurate fit and alignment.
  • Install rivets, bolts, and other fasteners to secure sheet metal parts.
  • Apply protective coatings and sealants to prevent corrosion and enhance durability.
  • Ensure all work complies with CAA Part 21G regulations and industry safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sheet metal work and fitting within the aviation industry.
  • Familiarity with CAA Part 21G regulations.
  • Certification from a recognized aviation maintenance school or program.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools used in sheet metal work.
