Do you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your input directly shapes product success? We want to hear from you!  We are seeking a Senior Production Engineer with a specialism in Electrical systems, to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this key role, you’ll be the first point of contact for production-related issues and play a crucial part in maintaining efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing processes.  Key Responsibilities for the Senior Production Engineer based in Berkhamsted:
  • Lead and support the release of new and updated products into production, ensuring all documentation and processes are complete and compliant.
  • Create and maintain build procedures for all production operations.
  • Collaborate with QA and other departments to process iCIR and CIR reports, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Provide technical feedback and proactive solutions to engineering for product improvements.
  • Work with planning to optimize routings, BOMs, and production workflows.
  • Partner with suppliers to enhance product quality and manufacturability.
  • Initiate and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
  • Mentor and support junior team members, promoting a positive and collaborative work culture.
  Qualifications & Experience:Essential:
  • Degree or HND in Electrical, Mechanical, or Production Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in electro-mechanical systems manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), New Product Introduction (NPI), and Stage-Gate processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
Desirable:
  • Practical knowledge of BOM structures and ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Experience using 3D CAD software, ideally SolidWorks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
