Our client, a leading firm of Chartered Accountants is looking to recruit a confident and able Trainee Accountant into its Beverley office. The role would suit an individual with a genuine passion to pursue Accountancy as a career and professional qualification.
The role requires someone who has already started their career in Accountancy and has at least 1 years’ experience in practice, and ideally has begun training towards a relevant qualification.
Duties initially are to prepare simple annual accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders before then progressing towards advising clients and building a relationship beyond their yearend accounts, including working with a varied portfolio of clients and dealing with queries, tax and business advice, and training and supporting your clients with their accounting software.
In addition to the above you will need to have analytical skills, pay attention to detail and have the ability to think laterally, meaning you are capable of identifying potential problems and providing solution.
Experience in various software, including IRIS, Sage and Excel or be willing and ready to learn.
