?? About the Role

East Yorkshire County Council is looking for an experienced and driven Fostering Team Manager to provide leadership and oversight of a dedicated team supporting foster carers and children in care. Based at County Hall in Beverley, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact in children's lives while leading with clarity and compassion.

�? Key Responsibilities
  • ?? Lead and supervise a team of fostering social workers and support staff

  • ?? Ensure high-quality assessments, supervisions, and support plans for foster carers

  • ??? Promote safeguarding and permanence planning for children and young people

  • ?? Oversee service performance, data management, and audit compliance

  • ??? Provide leadership during panel preparation, strategy meetings, and reviews

  • ?? Collaborate with multi-agency professionals and senior leadership teams

  • ?? Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, fostering standards, and practice guidance

? What We're Looking For
  • �? Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration

  • ?? Proven experience in children's services management, ideally in fostering

  • ?? Strong understanding of fostering regulations, safeguarding, and LAC procedures

  • ????? Confident leader with excellent communication, supervision, and organisational skills

  • ?? Enhanced DBS and Photographic ID must be provided on arrival
