Cover Supervisor – East Riding (Start: January)
Weekly Pay - £400 to £500 per week
Excellent opportunity for aspiring teacher
Vision for Education
Are you considering a career in teaching and looking for paid, front-of-class experience? Do you want a role that is flexible, rewarding, and gives you the confidence to lead a classroom? Vision for Education is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of East Riding secondary schools from January. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, teaching assistants looking to step up, or anyone with a passion for education who wants to make a real difference.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. Your responsibilities will include: delivering pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects; managing the behaviour of pupils in the classroom; ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged with their work; responding to questions and supporting pupils where appropriate; supervising students during non-teaching times such as lunch or break; and reporting back to teaching staff on behaviour or progress. You won’t be expected to plan lessons or mark work – your role is to lead the classroom, keep learning on track and ensure a positive, structured environment.
What We’re Looking For
We would love to hear from you if you have: strong communication and interpersonal skills; confidence to lead a classroom and engage young people; positive behaviour management strategies; a proactive, adaptable and professional approach; a genuine interest in education and supporting young people; and ideally previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential). Full training and ongoing support are provided.
Why Choose Vision for Education?
Competitive daily rates of pay; flexible work to suit your availability – ad hoc, part-time or full-time; long-term and fixed-term opportunities available; a chance to build real classroom experience ahead of a teacher training application; dedicated consultant support; and access to free CPD including behaviour management, safeguarding and more. This is a role that offers variety, development and the chance to truly make an impact. If you’re passionate about working in education, this is the perfect starting point.
Safeguarding Statement
Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check, suitable references and all relevant safeguarding checks.
If you’re ready to take the next step towards a rewarding future in teaching, apply today and join the Vision for Education team in the East Riding.
