St Mary’s School is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Speech & Language Therapist for a maternity cover contract, starting approximately early September 2025. This role is ideal for a therapist with a keen interest or experience in managing complex speech, language, and communication needs. Our school provides a nurturing environment for pupils aged 5 to 19 with various speech, language, and communication needs, learning difficulties, and other associated SEND.

Day-to-day of the role:

Assess, plan, and deliver individualised intervention programmes for a defined caseload.
Work with children individually or in small groups within classroom settings and specialist therapy spaces.
Enable pupils to access the curriculum and promote meaningful engagement in school-based tasks.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support tailored to each pupil’s needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

HCPC and RCSLT registration is essential.
Experience in an educational setting is desirable, though Newly Qualified Practitioners (NQPs) are encouraged to apply.
Demonstrable interest in or experience with complex speech, language, and communication needs.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
