The company

This role sits within a growing mechanical and electrical solutions business with offices in Manchester and London. The team delivers projects and maintenance across road tunnel infrastructure, covering up to 12 tunnels in London and the South East.

The role

We are seeking an Approved Electrician to support ongoing contracts across tunnel infrastructure. The work involves electrical installation, maintenance, and testing, with regular night and weekend shifts required due to tunnel closure schedules. Overtime is available with enhanced pay rates.

In short you will

• Carry out installation and maintenance works across tunnel assets.

• Work on LED tunnel and ancillary lighting systems.

• Conduct inspection and testing in line with current standards.

• Support tunnel closures during weeknight and weekend shifts.

• Deliver works safely and to the highest standards of quality.

About you

You will be a fully qualified JIB-approved Electrician with strong experience in transport or infrastructure environments. Flexibility to work nights is essential, and knowledge of tunnel or related systems is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate

• JIB Approved Electrician status.

• 18th Edition qualification.

• Inspection & Testing 2394/2395 (or equivalent).

• Experience in electrical works within transport infrastructure.

• Flexibility to work nights with premium pay rates.

• Desirable knowledge of LV distribution, pumps, fans, motors, dampers, CCTV, alarms, signage systems, or LED control systems.
