The Role
We are looking to trial experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work alongside class teachers and the SENCO, supporting children in KS2 with special educational needs. This is a chance to join a supportive school environment, make a real difference and potentially move into longer-term work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with children in KS2, especially those with additional needs (SEND).
  • Support speech and language development and follow guidance from Speech & Language Therapy.
  • Provide tailored support for children with Autism and/or Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).
  • Assist in implementing interventions and differentiated learning plans under teacher/SENCO direction.
  • (Desirable) Use knowledge from occupational health training to support well-being and any required health interventions or adjustments.

Essential Criteria
Candidates must have:

  • Proven experience working with SEND children in schools.
  • Proven experience working with KS2 pupils.
  • Demonstrable experience of speech and language support.
  • Experience working with children with autism and/or ADD.

Desirable

  • Occupational health training experience.
