Learning Support Assistant - SEN School

We are working in partnership with a warm and welcoming SEN school and they are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant to join their outstanding team.

About the Role:

As an LSA, you will support students aged 4-18 with a range of complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning and ensure every child is supported to reach their full potential - both academically and emotionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom
  • Implement personalised learning and behaviour plans
  • Support students with communication, regulation, and engagement
  • Promote a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and parents

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience working with children with SEN (in a school setting)
  • Is patient, resilient, and compassionate
  • Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one
