A Learning Support Assistant is needed in an All Boys Grammar Secondary School & Mixed 6th Form in South East London.
This Learning Support Assistant position will be full time and long term, with scope to go permanent.
If appointed as a Learning Support Assistant your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Supporting children with Individual Needs
- Assist with class cover when the teacher is absent (spread across 5 to 10 hours a week)
- Communicate regularly with other members of the team in regards to pupil progress
The rates of pay for this Learning Support Assistant role will be between 82.14 to 130 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.
The School
An All-Boys Grammar School with a Mixed Sixth Form, located in the London Borough of Bexley.
Academically very strong, they consistently post GCSE and A level results above the regional and national average, with 97% of students achieving 5 A*-C grades including Business and Maths.
The school's success is the result of their excellent teaching and facilities which has led to students there being happy, well behaved and keen to learn and succeed.
In 1995 the school was awarded DfES Technology College specialist status. This enabled them to acquire additional funds for DT, ICT, Science and Maths.
1998 saw the school win the School Sports Award, which recognised their achievements in Rugby and Football, two of the schools main sports.
Overtime the school has continued to develop positively and in 2006, the school gained an additional specialism as an MFL College.

- Experience of working with children/young people or as a Learning Support Assistant in UK schools
