An exceptional opportunity has opened up for a Behaviour Mentor to join a high-needs SEN & SEMH school in Bexley, London. This is a vital role supporting students with complex needs - including ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and ADHD - where challenging behaviour is part of the daily landscape.

We are looking for a calm, emotionally durable, and resilient individual who can meet daily challenges head-on with compassion, structure, and purpose.

About the Role:

  • Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs

  • Working one-to-one or in small groups under the direction of class teachers and senior staff

  • Providing consistent behaviour support and modelling emotional regulation strategies

  • Helping to create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working in school settings is essential

  • Experience with challenging behaviour, mental health, or special educational needs is highly desirable

  • Emotionally resilient and confident in handling complex situations

  • A great communicator who can build rapport and trust with students

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to purchase a new one

  • Able to commit to a full-time, long-term role

  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to making a difference

Pay:Between £90 and £120 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
