Caritas Futures is working with a highly regarded charity to recruit a Part-Time Refuge Worker in Bexley. This is a unique opportunity to support survivors of domestic abuse in a meaningful, hands-on role that balances purpose with flexibility.



About the Role

As a Refuge Worker, you'll be a key part of a compassionate team helping women and families move forward from domestic violence. You'll offer practical support, emotional guidance, and ensure individuals are safe, heard, and empowered to rebuild their lives.



What You'll Do

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding vulnerable people.
  • Working with high-risk clients
  • Risk and needs assessment.
  • Multi agency work
  • Working with vulnerable adults affected by domestic abuse, substance misuse, sexual abuse, housing, mental health, homelessness, or ex-offenders.


What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with vulnerable adults affected by domestic abuse, homelessness, or related issues

  • Solid understanding of safeguarding procedures and risk management

  • A trauma-informed, non-judgmental approach to support

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
