A highly regarded primary school in Bexley is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Year 5 Teacher to join their team in September 2025. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality lessons for Year 5 students, ensuring full coverage of the National Curriculum and incorporating creative, engaging approaches to learning.

• Assess pupil progress regularly, using a variety of methods, and provide timely feedback to support further development and guide individual learning pathways.

• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, resilience, and respect for one another.

• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a cohesive and high-standard approach to curriculum delivery, ensuring consistency across year groups.

• Establish strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and fostering an open line of communication to support student development.

• Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.

Person Specification:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• A thorough understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and the ability to deliver lessons that challenge and engage students.

• Proven experience in assessing pupil progress and using data to inform planning and provide differentiated support to meet individual learning needs.

• Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain a positive learning environment that encourages both academic and personal growth.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

• A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for fostering the academic and personal growth of students.
