We' re recruiting for a Conveyancing Paralegal to join a busy, well established law firm based in SE London.

This role involves handling conveyancing work under the supervision of the partner in charge, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in line with the firm's professional standards and client care guidelines. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and manage a busy caseload effectively.

This role is office based, 5 days per week. 

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Handle conveyancing work as required by the firm and clients.
  • Send draft contract papers on a sale, including obtaining management information packs.
  • Reply to enquiries on a sale and review replies to enquiries on a purchase.
  • Review and report on searches, correspond with lenders, and handle post-exchange matters and completions.
  • Organise diary and prioritise work efficiently.
  • Deal courteously and efficiently with estate agents, mortgagees, and solicitors/conveyancers in linking transactions.
  • Register properties with HMLR using their online portal and submit HMRC SDLT returns and make payments.
  • Deal effectively with client queries by telephone or by clear and detailed letter.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team environment.
  • Experience and qualifications relevant to conveyancing work.
  • Diligent and conscientious approach to work.
  • Excellent interpersonal and PC literacy skills.
  • Ability to organise and run a busy caseload and meet deadlines.
