We are recruiting a number of HGV Class 2 for a well established company based in Bicester, delivering fresh produce to business customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete start-of-shift vehicle checks and report any defects or damage.
- Review your delivery route and ensure you have all required keys, PODs, and delivery guides.
- Verify all PODs for scheduled deliveries.
- Ensure legal compliance before starting your shift.
- Deliver goods to the correct storage areas (e.g. fridges/freezers) within customer premises.
- Handle all goods with appropriate care.
- Immediately report any delivery issues to the transport office.
- Use provided delivery software to record deliveries and capture photos.
- Complete end-of-day checks upon return to the depot.
- Refuel and clean vehicle as required.
- Return all equipment and documents (PODs, keys, devices).
- Complete necessary dispatch paperwork and download your digital tachograph card.
Key Requirements:
- Ensure vehicle is roadworthy and compliant with legal standards.
- Maintain security and accuracy of deliveries.
- Follow Safe Loading practices and adhere to Health & Safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with both external customers and internal teams.
- Follow all delivery instructions with accuracy and professionalism.
