Equation Recruitment is working on behalf of a fast-growing Managed Service Provider based in Bicester, recruiting for a proactive and technically capable IT Support Engineer to join their expanding team. This role sits firmly between 1st and 2nd line support, ideal for someone who has already built a solid technical foundation and is now ready to step up.

The Role You will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support to business clients across the UK. From handling escalated support tickets to assisting in project delivery, you'll play a key part in keeping our clients operational, secure, and well-supported.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Managing and resolving 1st and 2nd line support issues efficiently and professionally
  • Troubleshooting across Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and Windows 10/11
  • Networking: DNS, DHCP, VPN, routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Device setup and deployment including laptops, mobile devices, and VoIP systems
  • Working alongside senior engineers on migrations and technical projects
  • Maintaining service documentation and ensuring SLA adherence

What We’re Looking For:

  • Some experience in an MSP or B2B IT support role
  • Strong Microsoft 365 support knowledge
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Experience with endpoint protection and backup tools
  • Confident communicator and team player with a growth mindset

Bonus Points For:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Azure AD
  • VoIP systems or telecoms experience
  • Cyber Essentials familiarity
  • Full UK driving licence (occasional on-site work may be required)
