Are you a seasoned Tool Room professional ready to step into a leadership role? Join a leading Plastics Injection moulding company, as our next Tool Room Manager and help drive performance, quality, and innovation in our tooling operations.
?? Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the tool room, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
- Developing the team and managing the apprenticeship programme.
- Lead a team of toolmakers and technicians, promoting a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement. (right first time)
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve tooling issues and improve processes.
- Repair and Modify existing tooling
- Documentation for regular maintenance of tooling.
- Correct labelling and marking of tools
? What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Tool Room Supervisor or Manager in a plastics injection moulding environment
- Strong technical knowledge of CNC machinery,
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD files.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop team members.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with Fully Hardened Steel production tools.
- Experience with hot runner systems/Valve gates and manifolds
