Finance Assistant (Hybrid) needed in Kidlington, £15.54ph PAYE - Reference: 365448

You will ideally have AAT2 Qualification

1. Responsible for keeping up to date and maintaining accurate and timely accounting records in accordance with legislation, accounting standards, and data retention regulations. Ensure financial records are maintained to align with audit requirements. 2. Accurate and timely update of financial systems used to manage the circa £530m revenue budget and £35m capital budget. 3. Complete any routine administrative functions (including review of requisitions / ECRISs/ raising SSAMI request to invoice customers/accounting for income received) within the department. Manage Outlook and SSAMi inboxes, deal with the queries and provide guidance as appropriate. Contributing to the development and enhancement of the intranet page.4. Enable informed decision-making by analysing, collating, extracting, reconciling and manipulating financial data. Ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation and resolution of control accounts to ensure effective stewardship of public funds.5. Undertake initial investigations into financial processes and financial data, raising issues and concerns to aid the internal audit process.6. Own and undertake specific tasks in accordance to the agreed statutory yearend timetable.7. Provide financial administrative advice to other members ensuring adherence to financial regulations.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
