Many recruiters dont realise theres a whole sector dedicated to careers advice and employment support and it could be the perfect next step if youre looking for more meaning in your day-to-day.
As an Employment Advisor, youll support people who face barriers to finding work helping them gain confidence, develop skills, and access opportunities. Youll still be matching people to jobs, building employer relationships, and using your recruitment instincts just without the sales targets or business development calls.
The role is based in Biggleswade, working as part of a small and friendly team of two. Youll manage a caseload of around 70 people referred via the Job Centre typically individuals who need a bit of extra guidance, structure, or practical help to get back into employment.
Day-to-day, you might:
- Help someone build or improve their CV
- Talk through local opportunities that match their career goals
- Liaise with local employers to connect them to job-ready participants
- Refer people to confidence-building or training support
- Remove practical barriers such as arranging travel or workwear for interviews
