Overview
We are seeking a skilled Setter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in plastic moulding industry. As a Setter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment, contributing to the overall success of our production processes. This is an evening shift position of 40 hours per week. In addition the role offers 25 days of holiday per year + bank holidays.
Duties
- Tool change, process set-up and optimization
- Mounting and dismounting of injection mould tools.
- Set up and operate various types of machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Operate plastic moulding machines with precision, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and strict adherence to quality control standards and safety standards.
- Monitor machinery performance
- Machinery maintenance
- Present jobs to a high standard
- Forward plan to maximize production
- Comply with Company policies including quality and H&S
- Apply a continuous improvement approach
Experience
- Competent in setting, and operating moulding machines.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery effectively.
- Proficient in using hand tools and understanding tooling requirements for various tasks.
- Strong work ethic and self motivated
- Experience of ISO 9001 quality requirements in automotive industry
- Able to work with minimum supervision and pro active in solving problems
