We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller for a six-month fixed-term contract with a focus on cash collection and finance support.
The role requires proven experience in credit control or a similar finance position, along with strong Microsoft Office skills.
Key responsibilities include daily banking, payment allocations, and managing direct debit collections while onboarding new retailers.
The position offers a salary of £35,000 per annum and requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience.

Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for your next challenge?We’re seeking a confident and proactive professional to join a dynamic on a six-month fixed term contract, taking ownership of the cash collection process and supporting the finance function through a key period.Key Responsibilities:

Daily banking and payment allocations.
Produce and maintain daily aged debt reports with accurate chaser information.
Proactively chase retailers for payments via phone, email, and Teams.
Manage direct debit collections and monitor credit limits.
Onboard new retailers, perform credit checks, and set suitable credit limits.
Take ownership of credit exposure, ensuring it remains within agreed thresholds.
Investigate and resolve payment disputes and queries.
Prepare refund and write-off documentation for management approval.
Deliver weekly debtor reports to the Credit Manager and Financial Director.
Support ad hoc reporting and duties as required.

About You:

Proven experience in credit control or a similar finance role.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Teams.
Comfortable working in a multi-currency environment.
A self-starter with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
