Audio Visual EngineerBillericay area, EssexPermanent position / Full timeSalary - Negotiable depending on your experiencePURPOSE OF ROLEThe role is primarily to design, program and install residential and commercial projects working with control technology, sound and entertainment, home cinema systems and security systems. Based from our Clients site in the Billericay area of Essex - You will be working across Essex, the East of England and occasionally further afield.Please note that suitable candidate should have own transport to commute locally.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, programming and installation of home automation including Control4 and Lutron.
  • Installing at first and second fix level in the constructing of cinema rooms and multi-room audio systems (supporting the first fix team).
  • Installation of lighting systems, TV aerial satellite and distribution, CCTV and security systems.
  • Maintenance and service of AV systems.
  • Provide training on-site to the end users.
  • Rack building to high standard.
  • Service calls and methodical fault finding and resolution.
  • To be flexible in order to undertake the many different areas of work that are required, such as project work, producing reports etc.
  • Regularly backup systems and networks and ensure network security.
  • Assist / support training of junior audio visual engineers.
  • Completion and submission of required paperwork.
  • Adhere to relevant Health & Safety and codes of conduct in the workplace.
  • Responsible for company vehicles, tools and stock.
  • Taking photos of projects and submitting them for marketing purposes including social media.
  • Attend regular team meetings.

CORE SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES NEEDED

  • Have proven electrical / electronic skills.
  • Proven experience in service / maintenance and Installation of Home Automation Systems in a similar position within the last 6 months.
  • Full clean UK driver licence.
  • Understanding of technical drawings and documentation.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
