Job Title: Concrete Layer Labourer (CSCS & NPORS)

Job Type: Temporary 6 months ( with opportunity to join the site team permanently )
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Overview:
We are recruiting for a Concrete Layer Labourer to join a manufacturing client in Billingham, undertaking large-scale resurfacing works on-site. This is a temporary to permanent role offering consistent hours and early Friday finishes. The ideal candidate will hold a valid CSCS card and the below tickets, have hands-on experience in concrete placement, and be confident operating plant equipment such as vibrating tools . NPORS certification for Cat & Genny equipment is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Pouring, spreading, and finishing concrete on resurfaced site areas.
- Assisting with ground preparation, shuttering, and compaction.
- Operating vibrating plates and Genny, Cat Excavators plant equipment effectively and safely.
- Using Cat & Genny to locate underground services (if certified).
- Supporting resurfacing teams and adhering to site health & safety rules.
- Maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of tools and equipment
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS Card - essential.
- Experience in concrete laying and groundwork.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Understanding of health & safety procedures on active work sites.
- Team-oriented, reliable, and punctual
Desirable:
- Excavator Ticket (CPCS or NPORS).
- NPORS certification for Cat & Genny equipment.
- CPCS/NPORS cards for additional plant equipment.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport.
- Previous experience on industrial or resurfacing projects.
