We’re hiring on behalf of a respectable client who is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their expanding operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in joinery and project management to oversee a diverse range of projects from £50k up to £5 million. You’ll take full ownership from tender stage through to completion, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, and to budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and site managers
- Manage project delivery from tender to final handover
- Monitor and ensure health and safety compliance, including preparing documentation and site visits
- Handle project budgets, procurement, and commercial tasks including valuations and cost reports
- Oversee joinery-specific technical requirements and ensure high quality workmanship
- Support estimating and commercial teams with costings and final accounts
- Manage and delegate to installation teams and subcontractors
- Resolve project disputes and provide accurate documentation when required
- Ensure CDM responsibilities are met throughout the construction phase
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Contracts Manager role within a joinery environment
- Strong background in project, commercial, and procurement management
- Sound understanding of construction health and safety regulations
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
- Confident decision-maker with attention to detail and a proactive mindset
