My client is a large main contractor who specialises in the construction of large scientific/ pharma plants around the UK

The role is to perform tasks necessary to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operation of specialist equipment and instrumentation.
Majority of time will be spent on tasks including repairs and calibration of equipment and instrumentation. It will also include assistance on install work and assisting in additional duties where priorities require.

You will perform skilled install services of facility systems such as electrical and building systems. You will interpret blueprints and schematics, have knowledge of methods, practices and techniques of maintaining building and facilities. Thinking is within well-defined somewhat diversified procedures but with many precedents covering most situations and assistance readily available. Results can be readily checked for correctness.

As the job title, you will help drive our goals by:

  • Perform problem solving and electronic/electrical fault diagnosis
  • Undertake  plant modification work 
  • Conduct testing, calibration, adjustment and monitoring tasks as required to maintain efficient plant and build-in equipment reliability.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

  • A minimum of 3-years of technical experience in their specific discipline 
  • Must have achieved a verifiable qualification in either Electrical or Electrical and Instrumentation 
  • Experience in a computerised maintenance management system 
  • Experience in a large-scale manufacturing / chemical industry within a maintenance function
