We are pleased to be working with a leading company in Billingham, who are expanding their team. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a HR and Payroll Administrator to join their supportive team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll/HR professional to advance their career in a growing, forward-thinking company. The successful candidate will report to the Payroll Manager and support payroll and HR administration across three business units, with the possibility of providing payroll processing cover when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support including processing starters, leavers, contractual changes, and time & attendance records
  • Support and cover payroll processing as required
  • Assist with employee benefits administration
  • Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports
  • Support payroll changes and statutory reporting processes
  • Review and suggest improvements to current payroll and HR processes
  • Assist with HR administration such as recruitment, contracts, and maintaining employee records
  • Act as a liaison between payroll and HR teams
  • Complete any other ad-hoc HR/Payroll duties as needed

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Payroll and/or HR function
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and excellent analytical abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Keen to identify and implement process improvements
  • Previous experience using SAGE Payroll
  • Experience dealing with varying employment contracts (shift patterns, overtime, etc.)
  • Background in a manufacturing environment
