Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist primary school in Middlesbrough.

This outstanding school caters to pupils aged 4 to 11 with a range of learning difficulties, including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).

The successful candidate will be passionate about working with children with additional needs and haverelevant experience or transferable skills.

The normal working pattern isMonday-Friday 8:30 until 15:30 and is a long-term position.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one
  • Experience working with children with SEND or vulnerable individuals/relevant experience
  • Work effectively with parents, carers, and other members of multidisciplinary teams to provide the best support
  • Be confident in working alongside students, ensuring they are fully supported within their learning and general classroom activities
  • Possess communication skills that can be personalised to suit students
