We are seeking a proactive and experienced SHEQ Manager to lead Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality practices within a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a pivotal role focused on driving compliance, reducing operational risk, and promoting a strong health and safety culture across production teams and sites.

What we need

Health & Safety Leadership:

  • Develop and implement best-in-class health and safety policies.

  • Lead PUWER compliance initiatives and ensure machinery safety assessments are robust and effective.

  • Conduct risk assessments and embed control measures to reduce workplace hazards.

  • Provide day-to-day guidance to production teams on safe working practices.

  • Manage investigations, incident reporting, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

Environmental & Quality Oversight

  • Support environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.

  • Ensure quality systems align with customer and regulatory expectations.

  • Support ISO certification and audit processes.

Compliance & Training

  • Keep abreast of legislation (including PUWER, COSHH) and ensure compliance.

  • Liaise with regulatory authorities as needed.

  • Deliver tailored training programs to production staff focused on safety awareness and machinery compliance.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and report on key SHEQ metrics.

  • Identify performance trends and lead improvement strategies.

  • Engage with stakeholders across departments to promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and best practice.

Skills we require:
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations in a manufacturing setting.

  • Demonstrable experience leading PUWER compliance and safety programs.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proven ability to train, mentor, and influence teams toward safer working practices.

  • A proactive and analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Ideally understand and experienced in Metal Fabrication processes
