About the Role

Simply Education is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our supportive schools in Thanet. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with special educational needs, helping them to thrive both academically and personally.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored 1:1 and small group support, adapting resources and activities to meet individual learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with a range of SEN needs, including Autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Assist with classroom management and lesson delivery under teacher guidance.
  • Encourage pupil engagement and promote independence in learning.
  • Help to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Support with record-keeping and progress monitoring as required.

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or similar setting).
  • A positive, patient, and caring approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and completion of standard vetting checks.
