Maths Teacher

The Education Specialists (TES) are working on behalf of a secondary school in the Birkenhead area to recruit a Maths Teacher for a maternity cover role. This is a full-time position, starting immediately and continuing until at least July 2026, covering the full academic year.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons, with a focus on Key Stage 3. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school environment where teaching and learning are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons to KS3 pupils

• Assess, track and report on student progress

• Contribute to the wider Maths department and school life

• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Ideal Candidate:

• Holds QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification

• Has experience teaching Maths at KS3 level (KS4 experience advantageous but not essential)

• Is confident, adaptable, and ready to engage with pupils from day one

• Demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills
