Following continued UK growth and plans for new ventures, Mitchell Adam are pleased to be supporting our Retail client, based in north Birmingham, with their search for an immediately available Assistant Management Accountant. This is a fantastic chance to join a business that's going from strength to strength year on year, with a genuinely supportive and down-to-earth culture. This role a great next step for someone currently studying and looking to steer their career towards management accounting. Due to the immediate nature, it makes sense for you to be on a short notice, or a contractor looking for their next role.
Day-to-day, this role offers plenty of variety and a fast pace to keep things interesting. You'll be working closely with the Management Accountant on month-end responsibilities, covering journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting on forecasts and budgets. Beyond these duties, you'll also gain valuable experience working with non-financial stakeholders, helping with planning and explaining financial performances.
Skills Needed
- You'll be actively studying towards CIMA or ACCA and committed to becoming qualified.
- Comfortable handling journals and balance sheet reconciliations independently.
- Confident in communicating with stakeholders and explaining financial information clearly.
- Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables and IF statements.
