About the Role:
As an Estimating Manager, you will be at the forefront of our project success, leading a talented team of 10 professionals dedicated to delivering precise cost estimates. You will collaborate closely with project teams, risk managers, and commercial stakeholders to ensure our bids not only meet client expectations but also align with our commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Lead the development of robust, competitive project budgets that support successful delivery.
  • Data Collection & Analysis: Oversee the collection and evaluation of cost-related data to enhance forecasting accuracy.
    • Tender & Bid Preparation: Manage the preparation of competitive tenders and bids, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
    • Cost Control & Monitoring: Monitor project costs throughout their lifecycle, driving continuous improvement and addressing variances.
    • Risk Assessment: Integrate risk management strategies into all cost estimates, providing stakeholders with transparent forecasts.
    • Leadership & Collaboration: Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within your team.
    • Documentation & Reporting: Ensure all estimating methodologies and documentation comply with industry standards and are auditable.
    • Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
    • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all estimating activities align with relevant legislation and company policies.

    What We're Looking For:

    • Qualifications: RICS Certificate in Construction Project Management, AACE Certified Cost Professional (CCP), AACE Certified Estimating Professional (CEP), PRINCE2 Practitioner, and APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ).
    • Experience: Extensive experience in cost estimation within the construction or engineering sectors, with a proven track record of managing large-scale project budgets.
    • Skills: Expertise in budget control, risk management, data analysis, stakeholder communication, and value management.
