Our client, a financial services company based in The Midlands requires a qualified Financial Controller. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a team of c. 15 people and focus on all areas of financial accounting for the business.

Ideally you will be from a medium to large corporate background. Experience of working in a listed business / Plc would be advantageous. Experience of working in a regulated industry with exposure to regulatory returns and standards would be beneficial.

This role focuses on leading the financial accounting team. You will be a qualified ACA /ACCA / CIMA finance professional with 8-10 years+ post qualified experience.

You will be responsible for

  • Monthly / annual financial reporting to group parent company
  • Managing audit requirements
  • Statutory / regulatory returns
  • Project work including acquisitions / disposals
  • Process improvement
  • Support finance departments interaction with both group finance and operational business
  • Manage team of c. 15

You will work closely with colleagues in commercial finance and operations.

This is a high profile role in a fast moving / change environment.

You will be a qualified accountant with a strong track record in financial accounting / reporting.

Experience of working in financial services / a regulated environment under FCA / PRA would be advantageous, but not essential.
