Pertemps Recruitment are partnering with a large manufacturing business who are looking for a detail-driven and proactive Inventory Accounting Specialist to join their team in Birmingham. Reporting to the FC your duties will include:
" Support and manage cost and inventory accounting processes, including KPIs and dashboards.
" Collaborate with the sales team to provide accurate product cost analysis.
" Assist in budgeting and forecasting inventory levels, COGS, and overheads.
" Ensure compliance with internal controls related to inventory and costing.
" Lead month-end close activities: journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory valuation.
" Drive standard costing reviews and annual cost updates.
" Oversee stock takes and manage R&D tax reclaim processes.
" Handle ad-hoc financial queries from internal stakeholders and group teams.
What we are looking for:
" A university degree in a relevant field.
" Actively working towards ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualifications.
" Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX compliance
" Experience in large multinational environments.
" Experience in operational finance within a manufacturing environment.
" Strong understanding of cost and inventory accounting principles.
" Skilled in forecasting, internal controls, and financial risk mitigation.
" Confident working with reporting requirements of a large US corporation.
" Advanced Excel proficiency and an analytical mindset.
