Description
Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple projects, including KPI reporting and tailored analysis for senior leadership.
Oversee group-level financial reporting activities.
Maintain accuracy and integrity of the balance sheet.
Coordinate and support the year-end audit process.
Manage the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
Keep fixed asset and stock registers up to date.
Drive improvements in financial reporting and analysis processes to boost efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls, recommending enhancements when needed.
Produce weekly cash flow forecasts and reconcile inter-company transactions.
Track and evaluate financial performance against budgets and forecasts, highlighting key variances and areas for improvement.
Undertake additional finance-related tasks as requested by the Financial Controller or Finance Director
Profile
A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:
- A relevant qualification in accounting or finance, or working towards one.
- 1-2+ year's experience in management accounting within a large, complex organisation
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ambitious, proactive, and eager to develop professionally
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong Excel skills, confident handling large data sets and inter-company accounting
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- An understanding of accounting principles and compliance standards.
