Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Senior with specialist experience in trusts, estates, and inheritance tax (IHT). You will work with a varied portfolio, contribute to advisory work, and navigate complex tax matters ensuring technical excellence and outstanding client service.

The Role:

  • Managing a portfolio of individuals, partnerships, trusts, and estates, overseeing both compliance and advisory work.
  • Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns.
  • Supporting advisory work including capital gains tax, residence and domicile, property income, and business tax planning.
  • Preparing and reviewing trust and estate tax returns.
  • Providing IHT planning advice to clients, including support on lifetime giving strategies, estate planning, and IHT reliefs.
  • Supporting clients through the estate administration process—from calculating IHT liabilities to liaising with legal teams and executors.
  • Reviewing the work of junior team members and supporting their development.

To be considered, you will need:

  • Strong working knowledge of trust taxation, IHT, and estate planning.
  • Solid knowledge of UK personal tax.
  • Confidence in reviewing and preparing trust accounts and SA900 returns.
