Salary: £34,350 + Bonus Scheme after Probation

We're recruiting a Level 2 Field Service Engineer to join a highly respected Service Team, supporting clients across Birmingham and surrounding areas. There will also be travel across other areas of the UK, with full expenses covered.

This is a field-based role working with vital patient moving and handling equipment such as hoists, baths, and beds. You'll be responsible for keeping this essential equipment fully operational, ensuring safety and reliability for the people who need it most.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and LOLER testing
  • Diagnosing faults and responding to breakdowns
  • Installation, repair, and commissioning of fixed patient handling equipment
  • Conducting site and pre-installation surveys
  • Completing reports via PDA systems and liaising with clients
  • Adhering to all Health & Safety policies and standards
  • Participating in the on-call rota for emergency out-of-hours support

About You:

  • Mechanical or electrical background with hands-on fault-finding experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good physical fitness, with the ability to carry out manual handling tasks
  • Willing to travel and stay overnight when required (with all costs covered)

Salary and Benefits:

  • Basic salary of £34,350
  • Bonus scheme following a 6-month probation period
  • 31 days holiday (including bank holidays and company closure days)

  • Overtime paid at time and a quarter
  • Pre-agreed weekend work available
  • Overnight allowance: £50 taxable, plus £30 meals allowance (tax-free)
