W Talent are supporting a leading engineering and manufacturing business in their search for a Process & Quality Engineer. This is a key role for someone who thrives on improving processes, driving quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement across production and engineering.
The Role:
As a Process & Quality Engineer, you'll develop, implement, and improve processes across production, quality, engineering, and environmental activities. You'll support the Quality & Environmental Management System, deliver engineering solutions, and ensure products and processes meet required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and enhance production and quality processes
* Support QMS, EMS, and wider business management systems
* Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and product improvements
* Complete supplier, product, and service audits/inspections
* Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and production documentation
* Produce PPAP documentation (FMEA, Control Plans, PFDs)
* Lead and support continual improvement activities
* Deliver quality awareness training to staff
* Support contract and customer requirements with engineering documentation
* Use business systems (e.g., Epicor) to manage and control processes
Key Requirements:
Qualifications:
* Degree (or equivalent) in Automotive Engineering or similar
* Audit qualification or willingness to work towards one
Experience:
* Knowledge of ISO, IATF, APQP and related quality standards
* Experience in process or quality engineering
* Proficiency in MS Office and business systems
* Experience in auditing or quality assurance activities
